Dr. Gayathri P.J. has been a part of the Department of English, East Campus since its inception in 2020. She completed her graduation and postgraduation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. She was awarded PhD by the same university in 2017 for her thesis titled “The Politics of Alternative Sexuality: Deconstructing Identity in Mahesh Dattani’s Plays”. She began her teaching career as a guest lecturer at Sacred Heart College, Thevara in 2011. She has taught a wide variety of topics such as Literary Theory and Criticism, drama, fiction, poetry, British History, Linguistics, Film Studies and common course English for all the undergraduate programmes. She has published extensively in national and international journals. She has also presented papers in national and international conferences. She has been a part of organizing committees of various national and international conferences. Apart from teaching she also has the experience of working with the IQAC of colleges, editing newsletters of colleges, organizing intercollegiate fests, club activities and a variety of other cultural events.
